APCO is seeking panelists for Nexus, an innovative new event coming May 21-22, 2020 to Washington, DC. Groundbreaking in nature, Nexus will explore the opportunities of Next Generation 9-1-1 through a series of interactive emergency response scenarios. Please apply if you are
- A public safety professional with expertise or first-hand experience dealing with a major incident or other complex response for an emergency communications center, or
- A technologist who can describe how Next Generation 9-1-1 and other innovations can improve emergency communications and response.
Public safety professionals and technologists will analyze emergency response scenarios, comparing what a current response looks like to what will be possible with cutting-edge NG9-1-1 technologies. For example, NG9-1-1 technologies could include dynamic call routing, seamless interoperability, video-to-911, telematics, biometrics, IoT, social media integration, data analytics, enhanced situational awareness tools, etc. Six planned scenarios will include a motor vehicle crash with injuries, structure fire, HAZMAT situation, medical emergency, mobile meth lab explosion, and combined cyber/physical attack. See the agenda for more details.

Deadline for submissions is February 24, 2020.
